The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an integral member of the healthcare workforce; obtaining an LPN diploma is a great way to enter into a career in nursing. LPNs work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to care for patients, implement provider orders, and perform medication administration as well as various nursing skills. LPNs generally perform under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses and medical providers such as Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
In collaboration with the Huron Community Campus and Huron Regional Medical Center, Southeast Technical College offers the LPN diploma program to the Huron Community. This program is a part-time academic commitment, and after having all pre-requisite requirements met, is four semesters long which takes approximately one year and six months to complete.
