About Huron Regional Airport (HRA)

Until Airline Deregulation in the 1970s, the airport was host to two major airlines Western and North Central/Republic, and served as many as 30,000 passengers per year. Passenger service continues until September 2016.

Huron Regional Airport is maintained to the highest standards of FAA's certification inspection process. The airport boasts the third-longest runway in the state and is capable of handling the largest of aircraft on a full-time or part-time basis. The main runway is 7,200 feet in length by 100 feet wide with paved shoulders and a full-length taxiway 50 feet wide. The crosswind runway is 5,000 feet in length and 75 feet wide with turnarounds at each end. The General Aviation apron is approximately 800 by 450 feet. The commercial apron is approximately 450 by 300 feet. The airport is all-weather and has a full complement of precision and non-precision approaches.

Airport Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting services are provided by full-time firefighters who operate the latest in firefighting equipment and can, on notice, meet the requirements of Index B.

The airport's fixed-base operator (FBO) is Skyways Ltd. Skyways is a full-service operator offering fuel, charter, maintenance, and instruction.
